AGED QUAKERESS WAS CALLED HOME

GRANDMA KERSEY HAD LIVED FOR OVER NINETY YEARS.

Special to the Journal.
Zearing, April 6.--Grandma Kersey died at her home in Illinois Grove on Thursday morning about 8 o'clock. Mrs. Abigal Lindsey was born March 30, 1818, in Clinton county, Ohio. On the 27th of October, 1836, she was married to Mr. Kersey and in 1856 moved to Bangor, Iowa. On Dec. 24, 1864,, they moved to Illinois Grove, where she lived until her death. She was the mother of nine children, her husband and four children having preceded her in death. The following children are left to mourn her: Mrs. Rebecca Russell, of Sioux county, Nebraska, Simon Kersey, of St. Anthony; Jas. Kersey of Bangor, Hiram and Robert Kersey of Illinois Grove. Mrs. Kersey has always had the best of health, until the past four months when she was taken sick and has suffered intensely. She was buried on Sunday at one o'clock at Bangor. Rev. Comfort and Rev. Hickman had charge of the funeral services.
