Rites Saturday at Nevada for Miss Pettenger

Funeral services for Miss Nellie M. Pettenger, Rt. 2, Ames, will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Asp officiating.

Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Miss Pettenger, 91, the last of her family, is survived only by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Matilda Pettenger of Cheney, Ill.; and by four brothers and one sister.

She had been ill for the past year until her death Wednesday morning at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Nellie Maud Pettenger was the daughter of Frank D. Huntley and Harriet E. Smith. She was adopted by her half-aunt and her husband, Matilda Smith and Joseph Pettenger.
