Daniel Lehman was born in Dauphin county, Pa. January 19th, 1862 and passed away at Zearing, Ia., December 28th, 1915 age 53 years, 11 months and 9 days. He moved to Decatur, Illinois in 1878 where he was married to Susan Shumm*. To this union were born two sons, Oscar of St. Charles county, Mo., who was present at the funeral services and Edwin of Decatur, Ill. He leaves to mourn his loss, his aged mother, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Shutter of Decatur, Ills., and brothers David of St. Charles, Mo., Samuel of Hutchinson, Kans., Levi of Long Creek, Ills., George of St. Charles, Mo., and William and Jacob who reside near Zearing also his two sons, Oscar and Edwin. The funeral services were conducted at the home of deceased's brother William by Rev. John W. McLaughlin, pastor of the Church of Christ at Zearing. Interment was made in the Hubbard cemetery.
