The obituary read at the funeral service follows:
Mary Wilhelma Morgan was born March 11th, 1874, daughter of William and Mary Morgan. She was born and grew to womanhood in Colo and passed away at her home in Ames April 17, 1931, at the age of 57 years, 1 month and 7 days. She was married to Charles Sawtell, March 12th, 1893. To this union four children were born, Mrs. Fern Shickell of Ames, Mrs. Mae Bloomberg of Nevada, Harry Sawtell of Ames and Mrs. Ruby Wilkins of Nevada.
In early girlhood she joined the Methodist church in Colo and always lived a faithful Christian life. By nature she had a gentle, quiet, loving disposition and endeared herself to all who knew her. She was a loving and loyal wife and mother who cherished grandchildren as only a devoted grandmother could.
She was taken sick about a year and a half ago, during which time she patiently bore her trouble and all that could be done was of no avail. Medical aid and loving hands could not hold her here.
She was a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge of Colo who respected her request to assist in the last sad rites.
She leaves besides her husband and children, four sisters and one brother, ten grandchildren and a wide circle of friends who will miss her greatly.
