Everett W. Sibley Funeral Services Are Held Friday

Everett W. Sibley was born Aug. 3, 1885, the son of Jim and Emma Sibley of Kansas and died on Aug. 29, 1961 at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa, at the age of 76 years and 16 days.

When he was a very small child, he moved with his family to Mystic, Iowa, where he attended the public school.

On Nov. 26, 1908 he was united in marriage to Nora Fogle. To this union were born two children, Irene and Leone.

Everett, with his family lived and around Centerville, Iowa, where he worked, until he retired, as a coal miner. He began this type of work very early in life, for he was but ten years of age when he began full time work as a miner.

He made his confession of faith in Christ, and united with the Christian Church of Centerville of which he was a member until his death.

His wife preceded him in death in 1949, after which he moved to Nevada to be close to his daughter, Mrs. Logan Bibby.

He is survived by his daughters Mrs. Robert O'Brian of Gulfport, Miss. and Mrs. Logan Bibby of Nevada, Iowa. Also, one brother, Fred Sibley of Centerville, one sister, Mrs. Jack Doyle of Rockford, Ill.; three grandsons, one granddaughter and four great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services

Funeral services for Everett Wilbur Sibley were held at the Ryan Funeral Home Friday, Sept. 1 at 10:00 a. m. with that Rev. W. R. Tuttle officiating. Miss Beeula Settle, organist, played a number of selections before and after the service.

Casket bearers were all friends or relatives of the deceased. Burial was in the family lot in Oakland cemetery at Centerville, with committal services at 3:00 p. m. with Rev. Walker of Centerville in charge.
