Last Rites Held On November 12 For John Donnelly At Colo Church

Services were held Nov. 12 at St. Mary's Church in Colo for John Donnelly with the Rev. A. P. White officiating. Burial was in the St. James Cemetery at Colo.

Casket bearers were John Orr, Grant Orr, James Cannon, James O. McCoy, Glenn Blink and Ralph Blink. Music was furnished by the St. Mary's Church Choir.

Flowers were cared for by Mrs. R. J. Donald and Mrs. Lee Fish. Cars were furnished by Ray Lafferty. Brouhard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Life Sketch

John Francis Donnelly was born March 11, 1878 and died Nov. 9, 1960.

He was the son of Nicholas and Anna Kielyn Donnelly, born at Eprouth, Iowa. At the age of three he moved with his parents to a farm south of Colo where he lived for 66 years before moving into town in 1948.

In 1920, on Jan. 12, he was united in marriage to Katheryn Cannon Donnelly. To this union one daughter, Margaret Ann, was born.

He is survived by his wife Katheryn and daughter Mrs. Harold (Margaret Ann) Grunsky of New Orleans, six grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Albert Blink of Appleton, Wis., Mrs. J. W. Orr and Kathryn Donnelly of Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years.
