Ida Lusk was born Nov. 9 1854 at McConnell's, Ill. and passed away, May 17, 1934 at her home in Gilbert at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 8 days.

She was united in marriage to Elias Gilbert, Oct. 11, 1882. In 1903 this union was broken by the death of Mr. Gilbert, May 16, 1905, she was married to Redmond T. She was a charter member of the Gilbert Congregational church and was always an active and willing helper in the work of the church.

She was the last survivor of a family of eleven. Never having had any children of her own, she loved all children, and was great favorite with young people always interested in their activities. Little folks loved her cheery ways and happy smile. We feel sure every one who knew "Aunt Ida" will miss her greatly, and remember her always as a real friend and neighbor.

Her closest relatives are a number of nieces and nephews, who mourn sincerely the departure of this loving and devoted aunt.

Those from a distance here here to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Orlan Gilbert and Violet of Kamrar, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Frisbie of Waterloo, Mrs. Nellie Maxon of Grinell, Glen Mason of Jewell and a large number from Ames.
