MRS. C. PETERSON DIED AT GILBERT

DEATH AT 5 O'CLOCK THIS MORNING--FUNERAL FRIDAY AFTERNOON

Gilbert--Mrs. Chris Peterson, 73, died at her home here early today from an illness of some time.

Mrs. Peterson was a native of Bysted, Denmark, where she was born July 1, 1855. She came to America with her people when a child of 13 years and then settled on a farm near Nevada.

She was married to Chris Peterson, September 26, 1878 and they settled on a farm 4 miles southwest of Story City, where they lived until 13 years ago, when they moved to Gilbert, where their home has since been.

No children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Peterson and the husband is the only near relative left to mourn her death, other than a number of nieces and nephews at Nevada.

Mrs. Peterson was the only sister of the lat Rasmus Sorenson, who died at his home in Nevada a few years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Peterson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, at their home here last September.

The funeral will be Friday at two o'clock at the Lutheran church in Gilbert, with Rev. Heimark of the St. Petri church, Story City, in charge. Interment will be in the South St. Petri cemetery.
