OBITUARY.
Jessie Chitty
Miss Jessie Chitty was born in Richland Township this county on June 30, 1885. She died at the home of grandmother, Mrs. Margaret White on October 28, 1904, thus aged nineteen years, 3 months and 28 days. Her mother dying then she was only five years old she had always been cared for by her grandmother; and leaves besides her one brother. Jessie was a bright and attractive girl, a graduate of the Nevada High School in the class of 1903 and a member of the Methodist church since she was about twelve years old. She was ambitious to take her part in the world's work and taught some during the last year. She was taken ill in the summer and steadily grew worse until at last death has ended her sufferings. She died of a very peculiar nervous and brain trouble and her last days were passed in unconsciousness of her surroundings. Her death causes among her relatives and associates the sorrow that is natural upon the decease of a a fair young girl on the threshold of womanhood. Her funeral was largely attended at the Methodist church on Sunday afternoon and was conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. L. Nye.
