Jason Robert Hattery

Jason Robert Hattery, 5, son of Robert and Margo McClelland Hattery, died Monday, Feb. 4, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.

He was born Dec. 19, 1974 in Ames.

Services will be Thursday Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at Nevada Memorial Lutheran Church. Pastor Walter E. Lack will officiate. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening at Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada.

In lieu of flowers, a Jason R. Hattery Memorial Fund has been established to be used for the pediatric intensive care unit at the new Blank Hospital in Des Moines. Memorials may be sent to Dr. Hans Dirksen, Iowa Methodist Medical Center, 1200 Pleasant, Des Moines.

Jason R. Hattery is survived by his parents; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hattery of Nevada; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd S. McClelland of Northfield, Ill.; a maternal grandmother, Mrs. William C. McClelland of Edgeworth, Pa.; and three sisters Shawna Lyn, Elizabeth Anne and Tara Jo.
