Heart Attack Is Fatal Wed. For Mrs. John Wycoff
Mrs. John (Myrtle) Wycoff, 80, 505 H Avenue, Nevada, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack Wednesday as she walked on the sidewalk near her home.
Mrs. Wycoff, who has been in failing health for the past year, was enroute to visit a neighbor when she was stricken.
The daughter of Amos and Della Kirby, she was born Oct. 13, 1886 in Thomasboro, Ill. She was married to John W. Wycoff December 16, 1906.
Mrs. Wycoff was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband John, two sons, Floyd C. Wycoff of Nevada and Maurice Wycoff of Melbourne, Ia., nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; four brothers, T.A. Kirby of Ames, G.H. Kirby of Story City, Charles Kirby of Ames and H.F. Kirby of Nevada; and one sister, Mrs. Ressie Steele of Dallas, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Maude and two sons, Earl and Herschel Wycoff.
Funeral services will be at the Ryan Funeral Home on Saturday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. M.C. Shupe officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
