EARL F. HERNDON

Earl F. (Abe) Herndon, 68, died Wednesday afternoon near Iowa Falls of a sudden heart attack.

Funeral serives will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Christian Church in Zearing with Rev. Phil Kinton officiating. Burial will be in the Zearing Cemetery.

Born April 14, 1905 at Unionville, Missouri, the deceased was the son of Everett and Bertha Herndon. On September 8, 1928 he married Ruby Schoate and had been a farmer in Missouri and Montana before going to Zearing where he ran a service garage. He was semi-retired.

He is survive by his wife; one son, Bob; one daughter-in-law, Carolyn; one grandchild, Linda Herndon of Nevada; three brothers, John of Macon, Missouri, George of Eldora and Dick of Unionville, Missouri; 6 sisters, Mrs. Eva Overstreet of Unionville, Missouri, Mrs. Opal Dodson of Macon, Missouri, Mrs. Garnett Murphy of Missouri, Mrs. Phineas (Ethel) Kelly of Green City, Missouri, Mrs. Noran Shaver of St. Anthony, Iowa and Mrs. Crystal Brown of Forest Park, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Pearl.
