Arlo H. Stoltenberg

Arlo H. Stoltenberg, 75, of Belmond died Feb. 11 in the Mason City Hospital of a liver ailment.

Stoltenberg was born Aug. 31, 1914, in Clarence to Hans and Anna Stoltenberg and was raised by John and Lena Thorsnes. He graduated from Story City High School in 1932 and married Lucille Filtz* in 1936. They lived in Belmond for 50 years, operating Kaiser-Frazer car dealership. He also worked for Iowa Electric Light and Power Company.

Survivors include two daughters; one son; six grandchildren, one sister Leona Henderson of Nevada, and one brother, John H. Stoltenberg of Arlington, Va.

Services were held Feb. 14 at the United Methodist Church of Belmond with burial at the Belmond Cemetery.
