Berle M. Robinson
Berle Marlowe Robinson, 66, of Yale died Feb. 17 at Valley Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Ariz. of an aneurysm.
Robinson was born June 14, 1923, in Collins to William H. and Mable Robinson. He graduated from Collins High School in 1940 and served in the Army Air Force during World War II.
He married Hope C. Robinson May 25, 1947 in Perry and was a member of Prairie Center United Methodist Church in Yale, the American Legion, and the Masonic Lodge. He was a telegrapher of Milwaukee Railroad for 20 years, manager of Wilder Gram in Collins, manager of Sinclair Pretro Chemical, and relocation agent for the Iowa Highway Commission.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons and one daughter. Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Kay Evans of Burke, Vir., and Joy Brommel of Des Moines, two sons, Gregory Robinson of Sumter, S. C., and Bob Robinson of Des Moines, eight grandchildren; one sister, Karol Atwood of Collins, and one brother, William Robinson Jr. of Independence, Mo.
Funeral services will be held Feb. 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Collins United Methodist Church with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.
