Services for area deaths
GLENN O. GEARHART
Services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday at 11 a.m. for Glenn O. Gearhart, 71, who died Wednesday morning at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames where he had been for the past two weeks.
Gearhart, whose residence was 512 E Avenue in Nevada, was born August 8, 1902 in Worthington, Iowa to William and Verda Gearhart.
A retired electrician, Gearhart was married to Lois Ruxton, and a member of the Methodist Church.
Gearhart is survived by two son, Richard E. of Waukon, and Jack R. Gearhart of Atlantic. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, one brother, Curtis of Cedar Rapids and two sisters, Mrs. Vera Turner and Mrs. Ila Schalaro, both of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Rev. Marvin Hulse will be officiating at the Saturday services. Burial will be in the Eldora Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Fund.
