Funeral Services For Jos.* Cunningham Held at Peoria

Funeral services for James Cunningham were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Peoria Methodist church with the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill of Nevada in charge. A quartette composed of Orville Woodman, Harper White, Mrs. Richard Partridge and Miss Esther Woodman sang "Abide With Me," "Home of My Soul," accompanied by Mrs. Basil Canle at the piano. The pallbearers were Ernest Pearson, Basil Caple, Joe Aldrich, Chas. Swalwell, Everett Gardner and L. E. McQuiston. On February 14, 1922, he was united in marriage to Lectie McVay* of Peoria, to union 6 children were born, all of which preceded him in death. Besides his wife he leaves 4 brothers, George of Maxwell, Ambrose of Stuart, Joe and Frank of Council Bluffs, on sister, Mrs. Maggie Brouhard of Lake Side, California. Interment in the family lot in the Peoria cemetery.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: This should be "Jas. Cunningham" who died 14 February 1942 at Iowa Sanitarium in Nevada, Story County, Iowa. Prior to being taken to the Sanitarium, he was apparently a resident of the Story County Home. His wife was Electra "Lectie" McVey.
