19-year-old man electrocuted
NEVADA -- 19-year-old Nevada man was electrocuted Monday while constructing a bin on a farm northeast of Nevada.
Patrick Peterson was pronounced dead at 12:00 p.m. Monday following the accident authorities said.
Peterson, an employee at Sorem Sales and Service was working on a bin construction at the Reuben Olson farm. Olson apparently backed an auger away from the bin site and the auger came in contact with an overhead power line.
Peteraon was holding the power takeoff shaft when contact was made. The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. Extensive efforts were made to revive Peterson but he was pronounced dead at 12:00.

Pat "Patrick" Michael Peterson
Pat "Patrick" Michael Peterson, 19, died Monday, Oct. 29 at Story County Hospital in Nevada. Cause of death was electrocution.
Born March 17, 1960 in Portland, Ore., to Iola Spence Peterson of Vancouver, Wash., and Dennis Peterson of Portland. Mr. Peterson moved from Vancouver in 1974 and lived in the home of his uncle, Cecil Spence.
For the past two years he had been employed by Sorem Sales and Service in Nevada.
Survivors include his parents; one brother, Martin of Vancouver, Wash.; three sisters, Rosemary, Le Ann and Pamela Peterson of Vancouver; and his grandparents, Mrs. Mary Ort of Nevada and Ivan Peterson of Gresham, Ore.
Services will be Thursday Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada with Dr. William Bass officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
