CARTER FUNERAL SATURDAY

Final Rites for Former Maxwell Business Man

Maxwell, Aug. 1--Funeral services for A. Carter, who died Wednesday evening at 11 o'clock in the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines, were held Saturday morning the the Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. B. H. Guthrie. Mr. Carter's death was due to summer flu and complications and he was ill just a little over two weeks. He was eighty years of age and had been a resident of this city thirty years or more. He conducted a meat market for many years. Interment will be made at the Summit cemetery.
