Daniel Doyle Dies Saturday Night at Rochester Hospital
Daniel Doyle, age about 65 years, native at a hospital in Rochester, according to a message received by relatives here Sunday. Funeral services and burial will be at Minneapolis on Tuesday. Doyle, an invalid from paralysis, for over thirty years, had made his home for many years, with the family of sister, Mrs. Mary Doyle-Hagen at Minneapolis.
A son of the late James Doyle and wife, pioneers of Nevada, he had worked as a young man, as a telegraph operator, until his invalidism made his retirement necessary.
He leaves a nephew, Fred Hagen of Minneapolis, now in the armed services stationed at Camp Rosseau, Cal., and nieces Margaret Hagen-Sefton of Minneapolis and Marie Guise Rice and Margaret Guise Benson, both of Marshalltown. The tow latter are daughters of his elder sister Anna Doyle Guise of Marshalltown.
Dan Doyle is well remembered as the only son of one of Nevada's pioneer families.
Both sisters, Anna Doyle Guise and Mary Doyle Hagen, are dead.
He was a nephew of the late Mrs. D. C. Maloney and Mrs. Frank McLain of Nevada and of the late Mrs. Mulcahy and Mrs. Niland of Colo. He also leaves a number of cousins in Story county.
