MRS. WILLIAM HOUSER
Virginia Weddel was born in Ohio, January 6, 1842. She was united in marriage to Mr. William Houser in 1860. Seven children were born to them, two of whom died in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Houser moved to Colo many years ago, in more recent years they moved to Lyons, Colorado, where Mrs. Houser died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora Hess, Thursday, August 7, 1919, aged 77 years, 7 months and 1 day. She has been a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal church since early childhood. She leaves to mourn their loss her aged husband, four daughters, Mrs. Eliza Perry of Winnebago, Minnesota, Mrs. Cora Hess and Mrs. Mattie Gilger of Lyons, Colorado, and Mrs. Myrtle Shaw of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, one son Orville Houser of Denver, Colorado, seventeen grandchildren besides other relatives and many friends.
The remains arrived in Colo Sunday afternoon accompanied by her husband and daughters, Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Shaw and baby. They were met at the train by Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Perry, Frank, Willie and Mattie Perry of Winnebago, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Perry and Mrs. and Mrs. Toss Tevebaugh besides numerous friends. The funeral party went directly to the Methodist church where funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. E. Coleman. The beloved form was tenderly laid to rest in the Colo cemetery. Colo friends extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
