Gilbert Horton died Saturday, February 24, of consumption. He had been poorly for a long time. Last summer he went west for his health. The change did him no good, and he returned home. Mr. Horton was about twenty-five years of age and a worthy young man. His father, mother and two sisters mourn the loss the their only son and brother. The funeral service was held at St. Petri church Monday afternoon, Rev. Vangness preaching the sermon, the body was laid to rest in the city cemetery. The sympathy of all is extended to the Horton family.
