JOSEPHINE MARY LEHMAN

Josephine Mary Lehman, 70, of 1706 4th St., Nevada, Ia., died Thursday, May 2, 1985, at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

She was born Sept. 9, 1914, at Middletown, Ohio, to Frank L. and Anna (Rizzo) Longo. She graduated from Johnston, Ia., High School with the class of 1935.

She was married to Russell F. Lehman of Des Moines at Browning, Mo., June 29, 1940.

Josephine's family moved from Ohio to Johnston when she was two years old. She and Russell moved to Ames in 1959 and moved to Nevada in 1970.

Mrs. Lehman was a homemaker. She belonged to the Johnston Federated Church at Johnston, Ia.

Survivors include her husband Russell, of Nevada; two sons, Ronald Lehman of Albuquerque, N.M., and Richard (Rick) Lehman of Kelley, Ia.; three sisters, Marie Gibson of Quaker Town, Pa., Sue Burgus of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Frances Melas of Arcadia, Calif.; four grandchildren and on great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant daughter, and one brother, Joseph F. Longo, who died April 17, 1985 at Johnston, Ia.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, at Ryan Funeral Home, 5th and Lincoln Highway, Nevada, with Rev. Floyd Newbrough officiating. Interment was in Highland Memorial Gardens, Des Moines. Visitation was held at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening.
