From Nevada Representative May 31, 1905 (page 2)

Mrs. Martha Wright.

The death of Mrs. Martha Wright occurred Sunday evening, May 28th, at the home on North Linn street of her son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Douglass Marlow, and her funeral was conducted at the Friends church, Wednesday morning, by Rev. Wilson of Nevada. Her age was 63 years and 24 days. Mrs. Wright was a native of Will county, Illinois, came with her parents to Butler county, Iowa, in 1854; was there married May 16, 1868 to Dr. Samuel Wright, and came with him and their children to Nevada about fifteen years ago. Dr. Wright passed away in 1900. Mrs. Wright, long in frail health, has struggled with consumption for the past three years, and the destroyer has won. She has been cared for in her patient suffering by Mr. and Mrs. Marlow and her son Bert Wright. The other children of the deceased who survive her are George Wright of Minnesota, Mrs. Sally Kitchen of Boone county, and Mrs. Minnie Parrott of Nevada. Her brother, Mr. Wm. H. Dryer of Shell Rock, Butler county, her only collateral relative, attended her funeral. Mrs. Wright was a worthy woman and will be kindly remembered.
