Dennis Wayne Osterhout
July 9, 1955 – January 11, 2019

Dennis Wayne Osterhout, age 63, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kelley, Iowa (609 Giddings St.). A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00. Burial will follow services in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery.

Dennis was born on July 9, 1955 in Ames, Iowa to Wayne and Marilyn Osterhout. He was the oldest of three children, Darla and Dean. Dennis attended Ballard Community Schools. He was active in band, football, wrestling and 4-H and graduated in 1973. He attended Iowa State University and participated in the wrestling program.

Dennis lived in Burnsville, MN and was employed at Le Febvre & Sons Inc. Previous to that, he worked at Layne Western in Ames, IA for many years.

Dennis enjoyed watching all sports, especially NY Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Iowa State Cyclones.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Osterhout. Dennis is survived by his sons, John (Makenzi) of Ely ,IA ,and Jacob(Abigail) of Hanford, CA; their mother, Pam Osterhout of Lone Tree, IA; grandchildren, Gable, Greta and Madison; mother, Marilyn; sister, Darla (Jerry) Weeks; brother, Dean(Deb) all of Kelley, IA and many nieces and nephews.
