Services for Lewis Peterson Held in Story City June 7
Funeral services were held at the Larson Funeral Home Tuesday, June 7 for Lewis William Peterson. Rev. Carryl R. Ziettlow officiated at the 10 a.m. services. Services were also held at Lake Benton, Minnesota in English Lutheran Church at 3 p.m., June 7 with Rev. N. C. Renslow in charge. Burial was in the Memorial Hill Cemetery in Lake Benton, Minnesota.
Larson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Obituary
Lewis William Peterson, son of Thomas Christian Peterson was born May 12, 1880 near Kankakee, Illinois. When Lewis was seven years of age his father moved to Lake Benton, Minnesota. He grew to manhood in Lake Benton and on January 1, 1901 he was married to Alfreda Hockinson. To this union five children were born one of whom died at birth.
When the youngest of his children was 12 days old, his first wife died. In 1923 he was united in marriage to Mae Donahue. In April 1947 the family moved to Story City where he lived the remaining years of his life. He was manager of the Story City Theatre.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alfreda; his father and mother, one sister, four brothers and one son.
Survivors include his wife, Mae, one daughter, Neva Elaine of Des Moines and three sons, Dick and Virgil of Story City and Wayne of Cottonwood, Minnesota. One grandson also survives.
