Mrs. Mary Moran died at her home in Grant township Monday afternoon. The funeral services were held at the Catholic church Wednesday forenoon conducted by the Rev. Father Nichols and the remains were interred in the Nevada Catholic cemetery.* A large concourse of people assembled to pay their last sad rites. Mrs. Moran was the wife of Patrick Moran deceased, and was one of our early settlers and respected citizens. Her surviving children are Thomas, John, Mack and Lawrence and Mrs. Crain.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Patrick and Mary (Johnson) Moran are actually buried in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery, not St. Patrick's Cemetery as stated.

--Mrs. Mary Moran died Monday afternoon at her home in Grant township aged about 80 years. She was the widow of Patick Moran and one of the old time settlers of this region. She was a very smart and bright old lady, had many admirers and has many mourners. Her surviving children are her sons Thomas, John, Mark and Lawrence and her daughter Mrs. Crain all of this county except Thomas, who is in the army in the Philippines. the funeral was conducted from the Catholic church this (Wednesday) morning by Father Nichols.
