From Nevada Representative May 24, 1882 (page 3)
On Monday afternoon, Henry E. Mooar, a little boy not quite two years of age, and grandson of D. G. White, was drowned in Hawthorn's creek, a small stream about a mile north of the railroad bridge east of town. It had been away from the house about half an hour and was found in the water about three feet deep. Its father was killed in Kansas, and now the child's young life is closed by this unfortunate accident.
SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "D. G. White" was Daniel Griffin White. His daughter, Lottie, was married to Mr. Mooar and was Henry's mother.
