Mrs. John Matson died at 1:30 Friday afternoon at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines. Death was due to heart failure. She had been suffering with rheumatism for some time and was taken to the hospital last Saturday for treatment. She was about fifty years old, and she and her family have made their home here for a number of years. She was formerly Mary Peterson before her marriage to Mr. Matson. Besides her husband she leaves three sons and four daughters, namely Andrew Matson of Fargo, N. D., Louie of Charles City, Henry of this place, Mrs. George Olson of Des Moines, Mrs. Matt Richmond and Mrs. Carl Florence of Charles City and Grace Matson at home. Funeral services will be held this afternoon.
