AIMEL A. CHADER
SLATER--Aimel A. Chader, 95, well known Slater resident, died at his home Thursday evening, Aug. 28. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Riis Funeral Home at 12:45 and the Slater Methodist church at 1:00 p. m. The Rev. Paul Harris was in charge.
Lester Moore sand two number "It Is Well With May Soul" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Rev. Harris sand "O Happy Day." They were accompanied by Mrs. Paul Harris at the piano.
The floral tributes were arranged by Mrs. Don Pudwill and Mrs. Clifford Swanson.
Pall bearers were Harvey Sholund, Clifford Swanson, E. C. Rood, Merrill Nervig, John Zager and Wm. Van Gundy. Interment was in the Slater Municipal cemetery south of town.
Aimel Anders Chader, son of John and Christine Peterson Chader, was born at Lindes Ness, Dalarna, Sweden on Jan. 29, 1863 and died at his home in Slater Aug. 28, 1958 at the age of 95 years and 7 months.
He came with his family to America when five years old. Mr. Chader grew to young manhood in the Madrid-Slater community.
He was united in marriage to Louise Arntz of Slater in 1892. To this union eight children were born three of whom preceded him in death, Stough and Alma in childhood and a son Lloyd who lost his life in France in World War I.
Mr. Chader is survived by his wife, Louise; a daughter, Eunice C. Chader and four sons, Ward E. of Madrid, Merle B. of Slater, Virgil K. of Kansas City, Mo. and Shelby A. of Slater; three grandchildren, Keith Chader of Kansas City, Mrs. Robert Buckley of Des Moines and Mary Louise Chader of Slater.
While yet a young man Mr. Chader affiliated with the Slater Methodist church and remained a member all of his life.
