Johnson Services Held Monday
Funeral services for C. F. Johnson were held at 2 o'clock on Monday afternoon Dec. 12 in the St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. The pastor, Rev. Ocee Johnson officiated.
Mrs. Robert Hermanson sang "From Heaven Above" and "The Lord's Prayer." Interment was in Story City Cemetery. Pall bearers were Bert Hill, Magne Idse, Clarence Pearson, Theodore Larson, Theodore Howland and John Valen.
Obituary
C. F. (Carl Fredrick) Johnson was born on July 14, 1874 on the family farm homestead south of Story City. He was the youngest child of Jens and Karen Jensen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and 2 brothers.
Mr. Johnson, Charles as he was affectionately called, lived all his life in Story County. When a young man, he was united in marriage to Julia V. Erickson. To this union a daughter, Julia V. was born. The day of the baby's birth in January 1902, the mother passed away.
In 1907 Mr. Johnson was married to Lena Dale of Story City. She preceded him in death August 4, 1937.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were life long members and faithful members of the St. Petri Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Julia V. (Mrs. Hans Olsen) of Oswego, New York and by two grandchildren, Joan (Mrs. Neil Murray) of Houston, Texas and Patricia Olsen of Rochester, N. Y., and by two great grandchildren.
