Basil Jackson

Funeral services for Basil Jackson, 81, of Phoenix, Ariz. were held Tuesday, March 26 at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City at 2:30 p.m. with Rolfe S. Johnstad, pastor of St. Petri Lutheran Church officiating. Pastor Johnstad was the soloist, accompanied by Louise Olson. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Basil Jackson, son of Albert and Ora Jackson, Story City, was born Feb. 10, 1895. He passed away at Veterans Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. Friday, March 26.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters: Albert E. Jackson, Thornton, Colorado; Dale Jackson, Minneapolis, Minn., DeWain Jackson and Mrs. Marjorie Olson of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Joseph Michel of Mankato, Minn., twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; four brothers and two sisters: O.B. Jackson, Mason City; Em Lee Jackson, Clear Lake; Mrs. Blanche Thompson of Thompson, Iowa; and Bertil Jackson, Jim Jackson and Mrs. Helen Leland, all of Story City.
