David Earwicker Rites Held Here
Funeral services for David Allen Earwicker were held from the Ryan Funeral Home Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. with the Rev. E. P. Windman officiating.
Mrs. Florence Rapp sang two song "Good Night and Good Morning" and "Rock of Ages", accompanied by Mrs. Normand Dobson at the organ.
The casket bearers were Eldon Fry, Virgil Brooks, LaVern Brooks, Lester Brooks, Mervin Brooks and Wayne Huebner.
Burial was made in the Nevada cemetery.
Obituary
David Allen Earwicker, the son of David and Emma Earwicker, was born at Denver, Colo., Nov. 11, 1874. He came to Story county at the age of nine years, where he grew to manhood.
On Nov. 17, 1904 he was married to Lucy Bell McKee in Nevada, and to this union five sons and six daughters were born.
Surviving Mr. Earwicker is his wife, and the following sons, Vern Earwicker of Cedar Falls, Harold Earwicker of Cedar Falls, Charles Earwicker of Oak Park, Ill. and Harley James of Compton, Calif., and the following daughters: Mrs. Monard (Gladys) Torgensen of Ellsworth, Mrs. Arnold (Thelma) Allie of Pacomia, Calif., Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) Hapes of Nevada, Mrs. Erwin (Ardell) Hidlebaugh of Kelley, and Annie Earwicker of Nevada. There are 20 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren surviving him.
He was preceded in death by one son Donald and one daughter Lois Darlene in infancy, also by one sister, Mrs. Mable Keopple.
Mr. Earwicker spent his entire life farming and also did some carpenter work.

Also Everal Allie and Danny Schoppe of Colo, Fred Allie of Los Angeles, Calif., B. H. Woodward of Cambridge, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hapes and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hapes of Colo, Virgil Hapes of Ames, Lloyd Corbin of Ames.
