Funeral Services Are Held Saturday For Carrie M. Dial

Mrs. Carrie M. Dial was born in Story County, July 7, 1890, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Peterson. She died Wednesday, July 4, at 4:45 p. m. at Leola's Guest Home. She had been in poor health for about nine months.

She was married March 16, 1915 to C. B. Dial in Nevada. She was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church, and a charter member of the Richland Garden Club. Flowers were an important part of Mrs. Dial's life.

Survivors include her son, William G. Dial of Nevada; one daughter, Mrs. C. H. Levy of Columbus, Ohio, five grandchildren, Donna and Linda Dial, and Carol, Marilyn and Charles Levy IV; three brothers, Saren Peterson of Winnebago, Minn., Arthur Peterson of Janesboro, Ark. and Paul Peterson of Nevada; three sisters, Mrs. E. A. (Tena) Piper of DeWitt, Mrs. Rex (Martha) Johnson of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Ralph (Lillian) Dingman, Emmaus, Penn. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. B. Dial in 1957, one son, Robert, one sister, Mrs. Olga Sterns and one brother, John Peterson.

Funeral Services

Funeral services for Mrs. Dial were held at the Ryan Funeral Home, Saturday, July 7 at 1:30 p. m. with the Rev. James Dendler officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. E. P. Windman, retired pastor of the Lutheran Church.

Leslie Henderson, organist, provided music for the service.

Casket bearers were all nephews of the deceased and were the same as those who served as pallbearers for her late husband: Robert Burnett, Gayle Maudlin, Wayne Maudlin, John Peterson, Edward Piper Jr. and Bill Sterns.

Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.
