FRED HASS DIED HERE EARLY TODAY

VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA--FUNERAL MONDAY AFTERNOON AT 2:30

Fred Hass, 54, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. T. J. Henrehan, this morning at 4:30, the cause of death being pneumonia and other complications.

The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the Bishop Funeral home and interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.

The death of Mr. Hass came as a shock to the family and friends. He was in his usual health until Saturday, when he was taken ill. Monday his condition became rather critical and he was moved to the Henrehan home and within a short time a serious case of pneumonia and other complications had developed.

William Frederick Hass, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hass, was born in Scott county, Iowa, February 17, 1876 and died at Nevada February 22, 1930, age 54 years and four days.

He came to Story county with his family when a child of two years and has lived here since.

He was married to Della McNaughton at Nevada, June 16, 1904, and to them three daughters were born. One babe died wile young, while the other two, Mrs. Viola Rose of Ames and Miss Bertha Hass of Des Moines, with Mrs. Hass survive him. For many years the family lived on a farm in Milford township, northeast of Ames, but for the past few years he has been in Des Moines.

He leaves besides his immediate family, his aged parents and three sisters. The sisters are Mary Elizabeth Crawford of near Gilbert and Mrs. Belle Henrehan and Miss Bessie Hass of Nevada.
