Nevada Man Dies While Shelling Corn

Benjamin (Benny) Harrelson, 50 year old Nevada man died suddenly Friday afternoon of a heart attack while shelling corn. Harrelson, who was born in Cainesville, Mo. had been a resident of Story County for the past 35 years.

Surviving are two brothers, Jim Harrelson of Dayton, Oregon and Claude Ray Harrelson of Fernald; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Noble of Peoria, Ill. and Mrs. Addie Tomacheck [sic] of Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at Ryan Funeral Home on Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. with the Rev. M. C. Shupe officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
