Rites Held Monday For A. L. Foster

Funeral services for Albert L. Foster, 76, 409 Seventh street, Nevada, were held from the Seventh Day Adventist church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Elder T. A. Nickum officiating, assisted by Walter Webb.

Mrs. Ray Lounsberry and J. H. Lantry sang "At the Corss" and "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied by Mrs. Otho Kirk at the piano.

The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Marvin Smith Sr. and Mrs. Forest Robison.

Casket bearers were Elmer Anderson, Frank Arnett, Otho Kirk, Arthur Kirchoff, Merle Rouse and Walter Thomas.

Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Obituary

Albert Lewis Foster was born Feb. 14, 1881 at Battle Creek, Iowa, and died Wednesday, March 6 at the Story County Hospital in Nevada as the result of a stroke. He had been a resident of Story county for 13 years.

He lived for a number of years at Battle Creek but later moved to North Dakota where he attended Cheyenne River Academy and while there was also farm manager for the school.

He was united in marriage to Merle Dawkins, March 20, 1934 at Ute, Iowa. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. Owen (Benita) Arnett and Miss Ruth Foster, at home, who with the wife, Marie, survive him.

He is also survived by grandchildren, by two sisters, Mrs. J. A. Marshall of Battle Creek and Mrs. Leo Downhame of Muscatine and by two brothers, Charles of Battle Creek and Frank of Mowbridge, S. D.

Mr. Foster had been a faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist church for nearly 46 years.
