Former Roland Woman Passed Away at Boone
Special to the Journal.
Roland (April 25--The body of Mrs. I. M. Halverson of Boone, was laid to rest in the Roland cemetery Sunday afternoon, after services held at Bergen church, this city at 2 o'clock by her pastor, Rev. Sumstad assisted by Rev. Peterson of Boone. Short services were held at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Molde, previous to the public services at the church.Mrs. Halverson, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Molde of this city and wife of I. M. Halverson, who moved from here to Boone a few months ago, died Thursday afternoon at Eleanor Moore hospital, Boone, where she had been a patient for several weeks. Cancer was the cause of death.
Mrs. Halverson was born on the Molde farm, six miles south of Roland April 13, 1892. In 1912 she married Mr. Halverson. They lived here until a year ago when they took up their residence in Boone where Mr. Halverson is president of the Halverson Manufacturing company.
Mrs. Halverson leaves besides her husband, four young children, Edna 11, Helen 9, Dorothy 5 and Max 2.
Mrs. Halverson had gone to Boone to make her home with her husband when the Halverson company moved its plant to that city. She had won a number of friends there despite the long illness which had kept her to her bed or in the hospital for a considerable part of the time she had resided in that city. She underwent an operation last October but was forced to return to the hospital again on March 31 last.
