Martin Egemo Rites Held in Story City

Funeral services for Martin Egemo were held Tuesday afternoon, December 1 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Story City, Pastor Harold T. Masted officiated. Mrs. Benjamin Anderson was soloist accompanied by Louise Olson at the organ. Burial was in the Story City Municipal cemetery.

Pall bearers were nephews of the deceased: Thelmar Ford, Joe Ford, Ward Wierson, Stanley Wierson, Kenneth Erickson and Charles Egemo.

Obituary

Martin Egemo, son of Samuel and Sophie Egemo, was born on a farm in Hamilton county on January 18, 1887 and died on November 28 at his home in Story City. He was baptized in St. Petri Lutheran Church and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church by the Rev. T. T. Heinmarck.

He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

On February 18, 1910 he was married to Tillie Erickson in Carpio, N. D. To this union three children were born, Sanford, Elvina (Mrs. Jeffrey Townswick) and Truman, all of Story City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.

Surviving are his wife, three children and eight grandchildren.

Two brothers, Willie and Luther of Story City and three sisters, Mrs. Julia Ford, Mrs. Sarah Wierson and Mrs. Martha Siberell, all of Ames also survive.
