Former Nevada Woman Died In Des Moines Recently

Mrs. Bert Martins, 85, died at her home in Des Moines Wednesday and funeral services were held at the Hamilton Funeral home there Friday morning at 10:00 and interment was in Pine Hall cemetery in Des Moines.

Mrs. Martins, a resident of Nevada in an earlier day, was a sister of Mrs. Addie Wallsworth of Nevada. Mrs. Wallsworth returned home last evening after having spent some days in Des Moines assisting in the care of the sister and later attending the funeral services.

Polly Ann Wilson was born in Hatterogus county, New York Dec. 11, 1850 and died at her home in Des Moines, April 10, 1935. She was married to Wesley Barnes, Jan. 12, 1869. To this union were born 6 children, three of whom survive her. They are J. A. Barnes of Brooklyn, Ia., Mrs. Mattie Moore of Birmingham, Ia., Mrs. Myrtie Smith of Des Moines.

She was married March 17, 1917 to Bert Martins who survives her. She also leaves one brother Frank Wilson of Oskaloosa and a sister Mrs. Addie Wallsworth of Nevada.

She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Des Moines. She will be remembered by many in Nevada where she lived for many years before going to Des Moines.
