Henry E. Armstrong Dies At Home of Brother Early Today

Henry E. Armstrong, 61, died at the home of his brother Chas. E. Armstrong, 117 J avenue here at 1 a.m. today, from a severe attack of pneumonia, which developed twenty-four hours before, in Des Moines.

Relatives here were notified of his serious illness and very critical condition about 8 o'clock yesterday evening, and with an ambulance, accompanied by a physician, drove at once to the hospital where the patient had been taken late Saturday, and in view of the condition of the patient brought him to the home of the brother in Nevada, where he passed away an hour after arrival.

Henry E. Armstrong, son of William E. and Evaline Murphy-Armstrong, was born in Nevada March 29, 1881. He attended the Nevada schools as a small boy and later for time attended the schools at Zearing and Roland.

For the past nearly 40 years he had spent the most of time in and around Des Moines, where he worked at various types of manual labor. During the past twenty-five years his visits to Nevada were infrequent, although he kept in contact with his family and friends.

He was an industrious and trustworthy worker upon any job he happened to be engaged in and always had close friends among his co-workers and associates.

He was never married and in his immediate family he leaves only his two brothers, Charles E. Armstrong of 117 J avenue and Glen Armstrong of 1237 Seventh street, Nevada.

Funeral rites will be held at the Morfoot Funeral home Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock after which the interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.
