HELVIG FUNERAL AT ROLAND TODAY

MRS. JOHN A. HELVIG HAD LIVED IN THAT COMMUNITY 40 YEARS

Special to the Journal.
Roland, Dec. 15--Funeral services for Mrs. John A. Helvig, who died at her home here Saturday, were held this afternoon at Bergen church at 2:00 following brief services at the house at 1:30. The service was in charge of her pastor, Rev. Sumstadt and interment was in the Roland cemetery by the side of her husband who passed away about 10 years ago

Mrs. Helvig had been an invalid for three years but had been failing rapidly during the past six months and her death, due to heart complications was not unexpected.

She leaves two sons and four daughters. The sons are Hans Helvig of Forest City and Able Helvig of McCallsburg, while the daughters are Mrs. Reuben Myrland of Forest city, Mrs. Andrew Bergeland of McCallsburg and Mrs. L. J. Ritland and Mrs. William Myrland of Roland.

Mrs. Helvig was a native of Illinois but has lived in this community for over 40 years.
