FORMER NEVADA RESIDENT DEAD
A. N. LARSON PASSED AWAY VERY SUDDENLY FROM HEART TROUBLE
Andrew N. Larson, 65, for many years a resident of Nevada, died very suddenly at his home 2007 Cottage Grove avenue, Des Moines, Tuesday afternoon at 4:00.
Mr. Larson had been down town and visited with friends during the afternoon, but just as he arrived home, collapsed and passed away before medical assistance could be secured. Heart trouble was the cause of death.
Mr. Larson had not been well since September when he suffered a severe spell with his heart.
The body was brought back to Nevada late Tuesday and is now at the Bishop Funeral home. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at Memorial Lutheran church, in charge of his pastor, Dr. Fred Wertz of St. John's Lutheran church of Des Moines, where the family had lived for the past few years.
Mr. Larson was a native of Sogndal, Norway, Europe, where he was born April 22, 1865. He came to America in 1883 and located first at Maysville, Mo., where he was married to Miss Lena Highland.
Two years later they came to Nevada and this was their home continuously until October of 1929, when they moved to Des Moines to be with their daughter, Mrs. Mary C. Maxwell, who held a position in that city.
Mr. Larson's health had been failing for the past three or four years.
He leaves his wife, his daughter Mrs. Mary C. Maxwell of Des Moines, a son Louis N. Larson of Alameda, Calif., and two grandchildren, Donald Larson of Des Moines and Grace Larson of Alameda.
The sister who came to this country with him, Mrs. Hans Torkelson, died at Horton, Kansas, November 3, last. Another sister, Mrs. Gus Abrahamson died at Horton, Kansas, about five years ago, while the third sister Mrs. Art Torkelson lives at Fullerton, Calif.
