Tjelmeland Child Died Early Today
Special to the Journal.
Roland, Nov. 17--Virgil Tjelmeland, 6, died quite suddenly at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Tjelmeland, 4 miles northeast of Roland, this morning at 8:30.The boy had been poorly since April suffering from needles and whooping cough, after which pneumonia set in. He had been bedfast for about a week, but as he had appeared to be improving yesterday, the death came as somewhat of a surprise.
The lad had been in good health previous to this attack and had attended the McCallsburg schools. He was the eldest of the four children of Mr. and Mrs. Tjelmeland, leaving two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at Salem church, Roland, but the time has not been determined.
