George Letson Died Suddenly on Way to Hospital

George Letson, age about 65, a grandson of one of the pioneer families, died following a stroke while on the way to a hospital from his home in Des Mones, at an early hour Sunday morning.

A son of Warren Letson and a grandson of Grandma Letson who lived for many years in the house which was recently razed at the west wide of the Nevada post-office site, he had lived in Des Moines practically all of his life.

For many years he had been a drug salesman of the road and was well known over the state.

Mrs. Letson died a few years ago and her body was laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery and Mr. Letson will be brought here for burial.

Warren Letson, father of the deceased, was the only brother of the late Mrs. Lockridge, Mrs. [Z]wiling and Mrs. Waldron of Nevada and Mrs. Miller of Cedar Rapids.

The Letson family was one of the oldest in Nevada.

George Letson, the deceased, a few years ago, had constructed and made a donation of the Memorial entrance to the north side of the Nevada cemetery and had in mind other benefactions to that institution for future years.

Funeral services are dependant upon definite word from his two sisters, Mrs. Florence Smith of San Francisco and Mrs. Flo Helen Allen of San Fernando, Calif.
