GILBERT PIONEER DIED AT BOONE

J. T. McCOY WILL BE BURIED FROM SACRED HEART CHURCH

Special to the Journal.
Gilbert, Sept. 25--Funeral services for J. T. McCoy, 85, who died at his home in Boone Tuesday, will be held in Sacred Heart church, Boone, Friday morning at 9:00, after which burial will be made at St. Peter's and St. Paul's cemetery, northwest of this place.

Mr. McCoy was a pioneer citizen of the community northwest of here and his death at Boone caused sorrow in the heart os many people of northwest Story county.

Mr. McCoy died at his home at 1510 Story street, Boone, Tuesday afternoon at 4:30. While he had not been in good health for the past year he had bee ill and confined to his bed but a week.

Complications incident to old age were responsible for his death.

During his declining year he has been cared for by his daughter, Miss Loretta McCoy, one of the 10 surviving children.
