WAS PIONEER WOMAN OF COMMUNITY; LEAVES HUSBAND, SON, DAUGHTER

Mrs. Roxy Lough, 85, wife of Chet Lough, died at the family home a mile south of the city at 2:30 this morning, after an illness several months.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at Morfoot's Funeral Home, after whidh interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.

Death occurred in the same home to which the deceased came as a bride 59 years ago.

She was born February 27, 1845, near Cincinnati, Ohio and was married to C. Winger at Aledo, Ill., in July 1871. They came at once to Iowa and located upon the farm a mile south of the city of Nevada, where two children were born to them and where the husband died in August, 1887.

In December 1893, she was married to Chet Lough, who with her two children survive her. The children are Frank B. Winger of Butte, Mont., and Mrs. J. Elmer Smith of Minneapolis

Both of the children were called home when the condition of the mother became serious several weeks ago, but after spending a week here the son returned to his home. Mrs. Smith has spent the most of the time here since the mother was taken down and she with her son, Paul W. Smith, were here at the time of the passing of the mother.

Mr. Smith is expected down from Minneapolis for the funeral, but word has not been received from the son as to his coming.
