FELL FROM WINDMILL CHILD FATALLY INJURED

Special to the Journal.
Gilbert, August 4--Glendora Holm, age 9, is dead today as a result of injuries sustained in a 25-foot fall from a windmill tower late Saturday evening.

The child had climbed up the windmill tower and in some manner struck some electric wiring. She fell a short distance and became entangled in some other wiring used as support for the tower.

The brother Willard climbed up to release her from her perilous position, but when released she fell to the ground below and suffered a broken neck and other injuries from which she died two hours later.

She was the daughter of William Holm, a widower, who lives upon the Anfin Hanson place four mile northwest of Gilbert. Mr. Holm, with his housekeeper Mrs. McPeek, had driven in to Story City to do some shopping, leaving the four Holm children and two McPeek children at home.

The funeral service will be at St. Petri church Story City, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, following brief services at the home at 1:30. Rev. Scarvie will be in charge.
