FORMER COLLINS RESIDENT IS DEAD
C. W. OZMUN DIED FROM CANCER OF THE STOMACH, IN MONTANA
Special to the Journal.
Collins, July 5--C. W. Ozmun, 70, long-time resident of Collins, died at his home near Ronan, Montana, Tuesday, July 1. The body is expected to arrive in Collins Saturday night and funeral services will be held from the home of his niece, Mrs. O. N. Serbin, Sunday afternoon.The servies will be in charge of Rev. J. R. Adamson, after which interment will be in Evergreen cemetery Collins.
Mr. Ozmun was a son of Oliver and Penelope Ozmun, having been born near the old Peoria settlement south of here January 27, 1860. He grew to manhood on a farm two and half miles south of Collins and later moved into Collins where he was engaged in business. In 1910, he went to Montana and with a brother James went upon a sheep ranch, where he continued to live for about twenty years and where he died, death being due to cancer of the stomach.
Both of his parents and on brother preceded him in death, but he is survived by his brother James of Montana, and sisters, Mrs. Clara Warren of Teekoa, Wash., and Mrs. L. D. Shearer of Collins, and numerous other relatives.
