Girl Suicided on Fourth of July

Ames, July 5--Miss Edna Armstrong, 27, suicided by hanging herself the morning of July 4, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Armstrong at 2527 Hunt street, Ames.The girl, who had recently returned home from Minnesota, where she had been teaching school, was found dead by her father, suspended fro a door casing by a twisted bed sheet which she had knotted around her neck and strangled herself to death.
The family moved to Ames from Ottumwa some time ago but the girl was little known in Ames. It was known that she was subject to spells of nervousness and despondency.
