AGED STORY CITY MAN DIED TODAY
SOREN ANDERSON, 89, CALLED BY DEATH EARLY THIS FORENOON
Special to the Journal.
Colo, July 3--Soren Anderson, 89, one of the oldest men in this locality, died at his home here this morning at six o'clock, his health having been failing for the past year and a half.Mr. Anderson, a native of Norway, came to America about 58 years ago, settling first in eastern Iowa. After living there but a short time he came on to Story county and settled on a farm near Story City, where he live until about 16 years ago when he retired and moved into Story City.
He leaves besides his aged wife, six sons and three daughters.
The sons are Martin S. of Jackson, Minn., Carl of Ormsby, Minn., Abraham of St. James, Minn., and Severin, Edward and Albert of Story City. The daughters are Mrs. Hans Hanson of Gilbert, Mrs. Bert Hill of Story City an Miss Clara Anderson at home.
The funeral will be held at St. Petri church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Scarvie in charge.
